This American superhero movie was produced based on DC Comic character with the same name; Green Lantern. Martin Campbell is the director if this film which scrip is written by Greg Berlanti and also writers Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim who are two comic book writers. Green Lantern stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Angela Bassett, Mark Strong, and Tim Robbins.

The filming of Green Lantern took place in Louisiana and it was released on June 17, 2011, and received mostly negative reviews. This film was mostly criticized for the screenplay and also the way that villains were portrayed. The film got an average rating of 4.66/10 on Rotten Tomatoes website and its score On Metacritic was 39 out of 100 which is not very much satisfying. The production budget for green lantern was $200 million and the film could gross $219 million in total which was a disappointing box office performance.
