A few comic books such as Darkness Calls, The Wild Hunt, The Storm and the Fury and Hellboy in Mexico had a role in inspiring this movie as well. Hellboy was directed by Neil Marshall. Andrew Cosby and Mike Mignola who was also the creator of the movie wrote the amazing script for the film. Hellboy 2019 starts with a flashback and we see that Nimue, the blood queen gets stopped by King Arthur who after dismembering her hides her remains across England.
