About Luke Cage
Luke Cage is a web television series created by Cheo Hodari Coker based on Marvel Comics for Netflix. This is one of the series that lead to the Defender crossover miniseries. Luck cage, a former convict that has superpowers and an unbreakable skin because of a sabotaged experiment is fighting crime and the role of Luke Cage is played by Mike Colter.
Simone Missick, Theo Rossi, Rosario Dawson, and Alfre Woodard are other stars in this series with some others joining the cast for each season. Development of Luke Cage series began in 2013 and Coker was hired as the showrunner in 2015. The filming took place in New York City and the culture and atmosphere of Harlem were replicated in it.
The first season including of 13 episodes and each episode being named after a Gang Starr song, was released in 2016 and the second season was released in 2018 but Netflix canceled the third season because of the differences with the writers.
