About The Nun Movie
The Nun is a Spinoff of the Conjuring. This Gothic Horror American film is directed by an English director; Corin Hardy. The screenplay is written by Gary Dauberman who is an American screenwriter best known for writing conjuring universe horror films such as Annabelle. Demian Bichir, Jonas Bloquet, Bonnie Aarons, Taissa Farmiga, Ingrid Bisu, Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson are the stars of this horror movie.
With mixed reviews, The Nun grossed over USD 365 Million. With an IMDB rating of 5.4 & 26% score on Rotten Tomatoes, the horror film boasts some great performances and great set pieces. However, the whole narrative lacks in stitching the story together. The criticism it received was on the story as opposed to anything else. The horror film was released in the United States on September 7, 2018. Its sequel is currently in the making.
The movie takes place in Romania. It starts with a Nun taking her life and then the Vatican sends a priest and novice to investigate. The priest has a haunted past and working with the novice, they uncover an unholy secret related to the death of the Nun. They confront a demonic force in form of the Nun and thus the battle starts between the good and evil, the black and the white, the living and the dead testing their faith and all that they have believed till this point.
