About Under the Shadow
During the Iran-Iraq war, Shideh and her husband and young daughter live in insecurity in Tehran. Shideh, who has been barred from pursuing a medical degree due to her political affiliations, is forced to spend days at home. But when her little girl, who has nightmares every night, claims that the demons are coming to her, everything falls apart. On the one hand, the threat of bombing the Iraqis outside and on the other hand, the disturbed dreams of the girl, which gradually seem to become a reality …
The film is made with Iranian actors and is entirely in Persian. Babak Anvari’s first feature film has been created, although its story does not end well, and it seems that it is left unfinished.
