About AC/DC
AC/DC is an Australian rock band formed in 1973 in Sydney which is the most populous city in Australia. The band was formed by Malcolm and Angus Young, two Scottish born brothers.
The music of this band was described as hard rock, blues rock, and heavy metal, however, the band themselves say that their music is simply Rock and Roll. High Voltage is the first album of this band which was released in 1975 and the band went up several changes before releasing it.
The Two Scottish brothers, singer Bon Scott, drummer Phil Rudd, and bass player Mark Evans were the members of the band and in 1977 Mark Evans was replaced by Cliff Williams. Bon Scott, the lead singer of the band died of alcohol poisoning in 1980 and this happened a few months after recording the album Highway to Hell and Brian Johnson was brought in as a replacement.
The band’s first album with the new singer was released last year and it was dedicated to Scott’s memory. Their new album was a great success and became one of the best-selling albums of all time. This band has sold more than 200 records around the world. AC/DC is the tenth highest-selling artist in America yet their music has been criticized for sexist, simplistic, and lowbrow.
