BattleTech is wargaming, a type that stimulates warfare realistically, and military science fiction, a subgenre that uses the science fiction technology, a franchise. This franchise is launched in 1984 by FASA Corporation which is an American publisher of role-playing games.
The franchised was acquired in 2001 by WizKids, an American company that produces tabletop games and since 2003 it is owned by Topps, an American company that manufactures chewing gum, candy, and collectibles.
BattleTech series started with FASA’s debut of the board game BattleTech that is a table-top wargame set in a fictional battle game universe that has numerous expansions to the original game, different board games, animated TV series, and Novels.
BattleTech was developed by Harebrained Schemes and published by Paradox Interactive. In this game, the players play the role of a commander and this commander is the leader of a team of powerful vehicles. The player should select different armors, armaments, and skills and then take control of a team of four in combat.
This game received generally positive reviews at lunch and it was nominated for different awards since 2017 such as Golden Joystick Awards and ASCAP Composers’ Choice Awards.
