About 13 Reasons Why Series

13 Reasons Why that is a drama teen web TV series is developed for Netflix. This Television series is developed by Brian Yorkey Based on a novel written by Jay Asher. The first season of this series including 13 episodes was released on March 31, 2017, the acting and also the subject matter of it was highly praised by the critics and audience.

One of the actresses performing a role in this series was nominated for Golden Globe Award. Christian Navarro, Alisha Boe, Brandon Flynn, Justin Prentice, Miles Heizer, Ross Butler, Devin Druid, Amy Hargreaves, Derek Luke, Kate Walsh, and Brian d’Arcy James and also Dylan Minnette stars as Clay, Hanna’s friend star in this series.

This series is the story of a high school girl named Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford plays Hannah) committing suicide after she is faced with gossip and sexual assault at high school. She records a box of cassette tapes and in the tapes, she talks about 13 reasons that have caused her to choose to suicide.

Many school officials and media professionals believe that the guidelines are violated by this series as suicide is depicted in it and it can result in an increase of suicide among youth. Netflix added a strong advisor warning prior to some episodes in response to this claim. The first season holds a 79% approval rating with an average rating of 7.14/10 on Rotten Tomatoes.

The second season of this series was released on May 18, 2018. The reviews that the second season received were mainly negative with an approval rating of 25% and an average rating of 5.31/10 based on the reviews on the Rotten Tomatoes website. Coinciding with the second season a video was also released by the Netflix with the cast cautioning viewers about some of the topics covered in the show. The third season was ordered in 2018 to be released in 2019.
