A way Out is the second video game to be directed by Josef Fares, a Swedish-Lebanese film director and game designer after he directed Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons that is an adventure video game. There is no single-player option available for this game. The game should be played either online or in local split-screen between 2 players.
The game is played from a third-person perspective. Leo and Vincent are the two convicted prisoners in the game who are controlled by the players. These two need to break out of prison and run from the authorities. A play free online model is offered by the game and allows players to join online sessions.
