This American franchise is a science fiction adventure comedy movie that is directed and written by Robert Zemeckis. This trilogy that is the story of a high school student named Marty and a scientist, Dr. Emmett L. Brown traveling to different periods of time is still very popular after 30 years and it was nominated for different Academy Awards and could win one.

The first installment in this trilogy was released on July 3, 1985, and grossing more than $381 million worldwide it became one of the high grossing movies of the time. On Rotten Tomatoes the movie got the average rating is 8.71/10. In this film, Marty travels back in time and meets his future parents and he tries to repair the history and the get back to his time.

The second installment in this franchise was released on November 22, 1989. Grossing over $332 million in total the movie became one of the highest grossing movies of 1989. Back to the Future, Part II received mixed reviews and the average rating of 6.18/10 on Rotten Tomatoes. In the second installment, Marty travels to the future to prevent his son sabotaging his future but their time machine is being stolen and it is used to change the history by the thief to his benefit.

Back to the Future Part III that is in the final installment in this franchise was released on May 25, 1990. Earning $244.5 million in total and with an average rating of 6.5/10, part 3 became on the highest grossing films of 1990. Part 3 in this franchise follows part two and Mary find out that his friend, “Doc” Brown is trapped in the past and he will be killed so Marty travels back in time to save the Doc but Doc is in love now!
