About Catwoman
Catwoman is an American superhero movie that is based on the DC Comics character of the same name. This film is directed by Pitof, the French director and the screenplay is written by John Rogers, John Brancato, and Michael Ferris. Catwoman was produced by Village Roadshow Pictures and Denise Di Novi’s Di Novi Pictures and the story is about a conspiracy being discovered by a designer in a cosmetics company. The conspirators kill her and then she is revived by Egyptian cats and is granted superhuman abilities and then she starts fighting crime.
This film was theatrically released on July 23, 2004, by Warner Bros Pictures. The film was a critical and commercial failure. The production budget for the film was $100 million and it grossed $82 million worldwide.
The film received several Golden Globe nominations and won a few awards in different categories such as f Worst Picture, Worst Actress, and Worst Director. Many critics believe Catwoman is one of the worst films ever made yet this film is the highest-grossing female-led superhero movie.
