In 1909–1988, Michio Suzuki set up the Suzuki Textile Factory in the small coastal village of Hamamatsu. The plant was an indescribable success, as Suzuki produced knitted textiles for Japan’s major silk industries.

In 1929, Michio Suzuki invented a new fabric the weaving machine, which was also exported to foreign countries.

Despite its success in the textile industry, Suzuki has tried to change the use of its factory due to its high enthusiasm and interest in various products. After a lot of research on other products and the needs of the people at that time, he concluded that the production of small cars could be the best and most practical thing to do.

Suzuki is now the world’s ninth-largest carmaker in terms of production volume, with more than 45,000 employees worldwide, 35 large factories in 23 countries and 133 car distribution centers in 192 countries, with annual revenues of $ 26 billion.
