About Swamp Thing
Swamp Thing is a science fiction, action, and adventure TV series. This television series is based on the Vertigo/DC Comics character, the Swamp Thing. This series has three seasons with 72 episodes and was developed by Joseph Stefano for television.
The series was filmed Universal Studios Florida. Swamp Thing series stars Mark Lindsay Chapman, Dick Durock, Kevin Quigley, Scott Garrison, and Carrell Myers and follows the story of a man-turned-muck monster. Alec Holland, who has turned into the Swamp Thing, was caught on fire and dosed with some chemicals and then his body was mutated and he was no longer a human. The new body is made of plants and muck.
This series has been one of the top-rated shows on USA Network but it mostly received poor to negative reviews and it was called marathon of clichés by some critics. The lames acting and story were also criticized. Swamp thing could not reach mainstream approval and some critics while noting some good cinematography believed that as the staging is awful the action never amounts to vary much. The Netherlands and the United Kingdom were two national Swamp Thing fan clubs.
