The Nightmare Before Christmas is a dark fantasy movie directed by Henry Selick who is perfectly known for the stop motion animation films. Chris Sarandon, Catherine O’Hara, William Hickey, Ken Page, Paul Reubens, Glenn Shadix, and Ed Ivory are among the voice cast of this Halloween-Christmas movie.

This film that is also known as Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas is originated in a poem by Burton who with the success of Vincent decided to develop this film and the development deal with Walt Disney Feature Studio was made in 1990.

The production began in 1991 in San Francisco and the film was released on 25 November 1994. The production budget for the film was $18,000,000 and it grossed over $76 million in its initial run.

This musical film was nominated for the best Academy Award for Visual Effects. With an approval rating of 95% and an average score of 8.25/10 on the Rotten Tomatoes website, the film was highly praised and said to be a delightful work. Some critics said that this film can take the audience into a new world as it is filled with imagination.

The story is about a guy named Jack Skellington who is the king of Halloween Town and he tries to bring Christmas to his home as he is bored with doing the same thing every year but his attempts to do so cause confusion.
