About The Big Bang Theory
The Big Bang Theory is an American television situation comedy. This sitcom is created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady who were also the executive producers with Steven Molaro. The three of them were also the head writers of this series that premiered in 2007 on CBS.
The show has 12 seasons and 279 episodes and it concluded in 2019. This show was produced by Warner Bros and it was filmed in front of a live audience. The focus of The Big Bang Theory was originally on five characters; two physicists, Leonard and Sheldon, a waitress, penny, an aerospace engineer, Howard, and an astrophysicist, Raj.
This series received mixed reviews after the first season but after the second and third season, the reviews became more favorable. For the later seasons, the show was criticized for the decline in the comedy quality.
Despite all these reviews, the first seven seasons of Big Bang theory ranked within the top ten of the final television season ratings. This American sitcom was nominated for Emmy Award and Jim Parson won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor and also he won the Golden Globe for Best Actor.
The show was nominated 46 times and it won seven Emmy Awards. Young Sheldon is a prequel series based on Sheldon Cooper’s character which is also on CBS.
